I wondered what Caleb was up to. But, after the encounter with my dad, I was scared to pursue it. My dad was a hardass, that’s for sure, but Caleb was so interesting that I couldn’t help but wonder what he was up to and if I should see him again.

Of course, I also did wonder if it was the right thing to do.

My dad was very adamant about me not seeing him. Even though I was an adult, he still controlled every damn thing about my life, and that irritated me. I didn’t know what to do since he was the local pastor, and he had a lot of influence on how things transpired around here.

Ugh, it sucked.

I went back home, sitting around working on my studies when a number flashed on my phone screen.

It was Caleb.

I picked up the phone. I couldn’t help it, he was attractive and the bad boy nature to him…enticed me.

“Caleb,” I said.

“Hey. You free right now?” he asked.

“Yeah. Just studying, but it’s super boring,” I told him.

“Want to go for a ride?” he said with a flirty voice.

I tensed. I blushed at those words, realizing he meant his bike, but my mind went to another place. I mean, I wouldn’t mind either.

“Sure. But aren’t you busy with the motorcycle club?” I asked.

“Yeah, but I’m done with that for now. Took care of things,” he said.

“Cool,” I said.

“Send me your address. I’ll take you out on the town,” he said.

I agreed to it, and after he hung up, I sighed. I couldn’t help but feel gravitated towards him, even though my mind was telling me no. I sent Caleb my address, and he said for me to be ready in 15. I put on a nice pair of jeans and a sweater, and just as I finished fixing my hair, I heard the doorbell ring.

“Coming,” I yelled. I rushed to open the door, and there was Caleb. He was dressed in a leather jacket, with a smile on his face.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey yourself. So uh, what do you want to do?” I asked.

“I wanted to see you. I know things were a little…awkward earlier, and I want to make it up to you,” he explained.

“Right. I’m interested,” I told him.

“Good, because I like you too,” he purred.

The way he said things with his smooth voice, all of that was making me shudder with delight, and my excitement grew. He motioned for me to get on the bike behind him. He reached back, brushing his hand against my thigh. I tensed, flushing crimson before he pulled out a helmet.

“Here you go,” he said, putting it on my head and strapping it on.

“Thanks," I said to him.

“You look pretty cute. I’m taking you to a cool place tonight. How’s that sound?” he asked.

I agreed, feeling a bit nervous about this, but at the same time, curious about where a bad boy biker like him could take me.

We drove down the street, zooming past cars. I felt the wind against my body, the biting nature of it.
